The archive search allows boolean full-text operators. What this means is, depending on the characters you add to your basic search, you can get very different results. Here are some examples of different searches you could run to find the exact results you are looking for if a basic search is too broad.

• word search - Shows results that contain at least one of the two words. (Basic Search).
• +word +search -
 Shows results that contain both words. This could be in any order, such as “search for a word” or “word search”.
• +word search - Shows results that contain “word”. Results appear higher in the list if they also contain “search”.
• word -search - Shows results that contain “word” but not “search”.
• word ~search - Shows results that contain “word”. Results that also contain the word “search” appear lower in the list. Use this if you don't want to completely throw out results that contain the word “each”.
• "word search" -
 Shows results that contain the exact phrase “word search” (for example, the result “word searches” is valid but not “search for a word’s meaning”).
• +word +(>search1 <search2) -
 Show results that contain the words "word" and "search1", or "word" and "search2" (the order doesn't matter). Results with the words "word search1" will appear above results containing "word search2".
• +sea*
 - Show results that contain words such as "search", "sealer", "seals", or "sealing".
